We use Roman Cart as our gateway provider and HSBC Bank as our external payment provider. In addition to the information outlined above, we require the billing address of the credit card you use so that we can pass this to HSBC who check the address against the cardholders details for security purposes. We don’t store the credit card details on our server but we do store the billing details and a unique reference to your card details on the HSBC server so that we can process renewals or so you can pay again with the same card more easily. We also use the billing details in case we need to contact you regarding payments e.g. for an outstanding invoice or failed transaction. HSBC requires that you provide your credit card details to process the transaction. This is done on a secure HSCB server and data passing between Roman Cart servers and HSBC are encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). We only store reference details of the most recent card that you have used to purchase on our site, not multiple card details. Your Personal Information is stored in our Roman Cart databases.
